The Fläpps vanity mirror belongs to the family of folding wall storage units by AMBIVALENZ. Closed, it forms a discreet square against the wall. Open, it reveals a shelf and its mirror, at eye level, for a quick gesture in the morning or before going out. The principle is simple: the object is only unfolded when needed, and the rest of the time it disappears.
The construction combines birch plywood coated with coloured HPL and stainless steel parts. The HPL protects the surfaces and gives the white a clean, easy-to-maintain finish. The metal hinges ensure the opening and closing movement, and the structure supports a generous load for such a compact format.
This square format finds its place in a narrow entrance, a guest room, a corridor or near a worktop. The white blends into light walls and lets the design of the volume express itself alone. Several modules from the same family can be composed on the same wall to create a cohesive ensemble.
