The Fläpps shelf by AMBIVALENZ is based on a simple idea: a wall panel that opens and closes according to needs. When closed, it forms a flat surface against the wall. When open, it reveals a shelf ready to hold books, objects or small everyday storage. This vertical format with a single flap is suitable for narrow spaces, hallways as well as room corners.
The structure combines birch plywood with a coloured HPL coating and stainless steel hinges. The Watercolor Stripes motif, designed by Kind of Style studio, brings a play of watercolour bands that transforms the closed shelf into a graphic element in its own right. The wall becomes an image support as much as storage.
Solid despite its lightness, the Fläpps supports a generous load once fixed. It can be combined with other modules from the family to create modular wall arrangements, in an office, an entrance, a child's room or a living space.
