The Fläpps 60x40-1 shelf belongs to the Fläpps collection by AMBIVALENZ, designed by Joe Mania. Its silhouette is based on a narrow vertical format, a single shelf and a construction in birch plywood covered with coloured HPL, combined with stainless steel parts. The design remains deliberately minimal, reduced to a few clean planes and a constant thickness.
The Alps finish gives this model a signature graphic, applied directly to the surface of the panel. The pattern is part of the furniture rather than adorning it, which allows the shelf to be treated as a visual element in its own right on a bare wall, in an entrance, a hallway or above a desk.
Despite its lightness, the structure accepts a serious load and accommodates books as well as everyday objects. Its compact proportions allow it to be installed where a deep piece of furniture would not find its place, and to multiply to compose a rhythmic ensemble.
