The Fläpps shoe rack by AMBIVALENZ is wall-mounted and works on a simple principle: three flaps that fold down to free the passage completely. Closed, it forms only a flat panel with minimal depth, discreet in a narrow hallway or corridor. Open, each shelf holds a row of shoes and keeps them tilted towards the wall.
The structure combines birch plywood covered with coloured HPL and stainless steel hinges. This coating provides a smooth surface, easy to wipe, suited to daily use near the front door. The black finish underlines the geometric design of the panel and pairs equally well with a light wall or dark joinery.
The square format of 80 centimetres per side allows several modules to be arranged side by side or stacked, depending on available height and the number of pairs to store. The unit supports a comfortable load for town shoes as well as bulkier models, and leaves the floor completely clear for cleaning.
