The Fläpps shelf by AMBIVALENZ adopts here a narrow vertical format, designed to take up little space whilst offering genuine storage surface. The structure is made from birch plywood coated with coloured HPL, combined with stainless steel. The whole remains light without sacrificing solidity: the shelf accepts a generous load for a piece of furniture of this size.
The finish of the Vallunaraju mountain is designed by Joe Mania. The printed pattern transforms the shelf into a graphic element in its own right, halfway between storage and wall piece. Books, objects, plants or small accessories find their place there, and the coloured background continues to exist even when the shelf is occupied.
Its compact proportions allow it to slip into a corridor, an office corner, a child's bedroom or an entrance hall. Several modules of the same system can be combined to compose rhythmic arrangements, playing with heights and patterns.
