The Flowerpot VP2 reprises the design Verner Panton conceived in the late 1960s: two steel half-spheres facing each other, the smaller one closing the larger. The result is a clean pendant light without ornament, whose silhouette reads immediately in a room. In its Mustard version, the deep yellow gives the steel a coloured presence that warms sober interiors.
This fifty-centimetre diameter variant is the most generous of the family. It handles ceiling height and accepts being installed alone, above a dining table or a kitchen island, where a more discreet pendant light would be lost. The light beam descends vertically, concentrated on the worktop or the tablecloth, whilst the shell keeps the bulb out of the field of vision.
The textile cable extends the line up to the ceiling and contributes to the overall design. Conceived for indoor use, the Flowerpot VP2 takes a standard base bulb, to be chosen according to the desired intensity. It also finds its place in series, aligned above a long surface, where the repetition of the circular form creates a simple rhythm.
