Designed by Verner Panton, the Flowerpot VP2 pendant light is based on a simple principle: two hemispheres facing each other. The larger one caps the second, which reflects the light downwards and conceals the source. The result is a soft beam, concentrated beneath the lampshade, without glare for those seated below.
The Stone Blue version dresses the steel in a matt mineral blue, both muted and deep. The shade complements light interiors as well as more contrasted atmospheres, and the textile cord extends the gesture up to the ceiling. In its largest dimension, the VP2 model takes on the measure of generous volumes and supports series installation very well.
Suspended above a dining table, a kitchen island or a counter, it delineates a space without partitioning it. Its design, born in the late sixties, has crossed the decades without ageing and remains one of the most recognisable silhouettes of Danish design.
