Øivind Slaatto drew inspiration from nature and basic mathematical principles to create the Swirl series. He wanted to find a way of incorporating the intricate construction of a snail's shell along with his fascination for fractals.
He wanted Le Klint's design and craftsmanship to be evident the moment you look at the lamp. The transparency, the shape and the spiralling panels of Swirl all refer to Le Klint's unique style and perfection, which remains fitting and aesthetically pleasing in any room.
