Øivind Slaatto was inspired by nature and the mathematical principles of base for créer the Swirl series. He wanted to find a way to incorporate the detailed construction of a snail's shell as well as his fascination with fractals.
He wanted the design and craftsmanship of le Klint be evident as soon as you look at the lamp. The transparency, shape and spiral panels of Swirl allude to the style of unique and à la perfection style of le Klint, which is always appropriate and aesthetically pleasing in any room.
