Øivind Slaatto was inspired by nature and the mathematical principles of base for créer the series Swirl. He wanted to find a way to incorporate the detailed construction of a snail's shell as well as his fascination with fractals.
He wanted the design and craftsmanship of le Klint to be evident as soon as you look at the lamp. The transparency, shape, and spiral panels of Swirl are all references to le Klint's unique and à la perfection style, which is always appropriate and aesthetically pleasing in any room.
