The Alima shelf by &Tradition rests on a chromed steel structure that supports shelves in lacquered, veneered oak with solid wood edges. Note Design Studio has worked the contrast between the fineness of the metal and the presence of the wood, for a piece of furniture that holds its place in the room without cluttering it.
The verticality of the model and its measured depth allow it to slip against a wall, into a corner or along a corridor. The open levels allow the gaze and light to circulate, which makes the volume lighter than it actually is. Books, objects, crockery or archives find their place there, in a living room, an office or an entrance.
Alima comes in a lacquered oak finish, with a solid lacquered oak edge that emphasises the design of each shelf. A sober piece, designed to last and to suit very different interiors.
