The Cori vase by Broste Copenhagen rests on a generous volume, almost as wide as it is tall, which gives it an immediate presence on a table or console. Its full silhouette captures light in broad planes and works equally well empty or filled with a bouquet.
The ceramic receives a reactive glaze, a firing that allows the glaze to develop freely on the surface. The white is never uniform: it shades, thickens in places, reveals slight variations in texture. Each piece thus bears its own accidents, the signature of a process that is only partially controlled.
Placed alone, the Cori is enough to structure a corner of a room. Combined with other volumes from the family, it composes an ensemble where forms respond to each other without repeating. A calm object, equally suited to a pared-back interior or a more layered atmosphere.
