The Wide S vase by Broste Copenhagen plays on a wide, low silhouette, as tall as it is deep. This compact proportion gives it a stable, grounded presence that catches the eye without taking up much space. It accommodates a few short stems as well as a voluminous, compact arrangement.
The ceramic is covered with a reactive gloss glaze, a firing that makes the glaze react and reveals variations in tone and depth across the entire surface. The Teal colourway reveals these nuances in contact with light, from deep green to lighter blues depending on the angle. Each piece thus bears its own marks, which no other reproduces exactly.
Isolated on a console or side table, it is self-sufficient. Brought together with other pieces from the Wide family, it composes an ensemble of heights and volumes that structures a shelf or table centre.
