The Wide XL vase by Broste Copenhagen pushes volume to its extreme: a wide body, as tall as it is deep, that occupies space like a piece of sculpture. Its round, full silhouette closes onto a narrowed opening, generous enough to accommodate long branches or an ample bouquet, contained enough to hold a composition in place.
The ceramic receives a reactive gloss glaze whose teal tone varies in intensity according to the reliefs and light. This firing gives each piece nuances and marbling that belong to it alone: no vase is strictly identical to another. The clean, lustrous surface captures reflections and animates the depth of the blue-green.
Placed on the floor near a bench, on a wide console or alone in a corner, it plays the role of a coloured anchor point. It also works empty, through the sole presence of its mass. The model belongs to the Wide family, available in several formats to compose groupings of contrasting heights.
