Sergio Herman drew inspiration from nature in its rawest state, as admired in New Zealand, to create the Surface collection. Each piece features rough textures with beautifully imperfect details, resulting in a truly unique finish. From the deep grey of the mystical North Sea to ageing, wrinkled skin, every surface is a symbol of depth. Each and every surface in the collection has a story to tell. The designer used this interplay of textures to craft this magnificent collection, telling his own story and conveying his personal experience. Surface is the result of a shared vision, held by both the designer and Serax: an unwavering belief in talent and in the power of collaboration to fuel creativity. Because a powerful idea is nothing without its execution.

Whether you are busy at the stove at home or in a restaurant, good utensils are truly essential in the kitchen. That is why Sergio and the Serax design team set their sights on cast iron pots and pans with a highly durable enamelled coating, which withstand high temperatures perfectly and retain heat for a long time, encouraging the flavours of the food to mingle. The enamel coating makes the pans and pots very easy to clean. Thanks to a further innovation, the cast iron is perfectly compatible with all heat sources, from gas cookers to ceramic hobs. The inventive design of the lids allows condensation to be collected and the food to be moistened automatically, so dishes can simmer for hours on end without drying out. The griddle pans have a high rim that limits splashing, while the sauce pans have a slightly wider rim, making it easier to whisk and cook sauces. READ LESS
