Inspired by the symbol of the parenthesis, Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù designed this model in 1971. Parentesi is lightweight, economical and dynamic. Flexible and contemporary, yet also timeless as it draws on the collective imagination: the light source is a simple bulb that rotates through 360 degrees.

This is a direct-light lamp whose illuminating section can be moved vertically, thanks to a steel tube finished with a liquid varnish, along a steel cable stretched between ceiling and floor, length 4000 mm. It features an injection-moulded elastomer head in black with a switch. Electrical cable with a usable length of 4000 mm from the lamp holder.
