Faux birds with real feathers have found refuge inside a copper wire mesh lampshade. For each model, the birds are arranged according to a precise plan, ensuring perfect visual harmony. From one piece to the next, the colours vary infinitely, making every example a one-off. Singular objects of great poetry, the Volières have become, over time, design icons. They are also a rare example of creation without lineage: before they appeared in 2006, nothing similar had ever been made. Mathieu Challières' Volières are now sold in more than 30 countries.
