Inspired by the symbol of the parenthesis, Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù designed this model in 1971. Parentesi is light, economical and dynamic. Flexible and contemporary, yet also timeless as it draws on the collective imagination: the light source is a simple bulb that rotates through 360 degrees.

This is a direct light lamp whose light-emitting section can be moved vertically along a steel cable stretched between ceiling and floor, 4000 mm in length, thanks to a steel tube finished with a nickel-plated varnish. It features a head in injection-moulded elastomer in black. The cable carries the electronic dimmer that allows the light intensity to be adjusted step by step.
