Taking inspiration from the parenthesis symbol, Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù designed this model in 1971. Parentesi is lightweight, economical and dynamic. Flexible and contemporary, yet also timeless as it draws on the collective imagination: the light source is a simple bulb that rotates through 360 degrees.

This is a direct-light lamp whose lighting section can be moved vertically, thanks to a steel tube finished with a liquid varnish, along a steel cable stretched between the ceiling and the floor, length 4000 mm. It features a head in injection-moulded elastomer in a white colour. The cable carries the electronic dimmer, which allows the light intensity to be adjusted step by step.
