Shell is a patterned rug that forms part of the collaboration between Layereds and renowned Swedish artist Åsa Jungnelius. With her focus on body and soul, colour and form, Åsa Jungnelius's artistic vision and symbolic aesthetic breathe a powerful sense of feminine strength into every object she makes and into every home it enters.

The rug's texture comes from a blend of wool and tencel, giving it a lustrous finish. Tencel is a high-quality version of viscose and, just like wool, it is environmentally friendly and highly durable.

The rug is handwoven, which makes each piece unique, hence the slight variations in size and colour. Due to its hand-tufted construction, the rug tends to shed fibres at first.
