Shell is a patterned rug from the collaboration between Layereds and the renowned Swedish artist Åsa Jungnelius. Focusing accent on body and soul, color and form, Åsa Jungnelius' artistic vision and symbolic aesthetics infuse a strong sense of feminine power into every object elle creates and every home it inhabits.
The rug's texture is created from a blend of wool and tencel, which gives the rug a glossy finish. Tencel is a high-quality version of viscose and, like wool, is environmentally friendly and highly resistant.
The rug is woven à la by hand, which makes each rug unique, resulting in slight variations in size and color. Due to its hand-tufted construction, the rug tends to lose fibers at first.
