White wall lamp base black Stemlite - Gubi

Subtle, organic shapes and soft, diffused light characterize the Stemlite wall lamp - a caché gem from the space race era that is now a natural addition to à la collection GUBI. Legendary designer Bill Curry's "total look" lamp was an innovative reworking of the traditional lamp and captured the zeitgeist of the 1960s American West Coast. Inspired by the stems that support flower heads in nature, the Stemlite appears to emerge organically from the wall.

The die-cast aluminum base supports the tulip-shaped steel stem that stretches outward, then upward to hold a softly glowing blown frosted glass globe à la mouth. A simple rotary dimmer allows intuitive control of the light's intensity. Available in black chrome, the Stemlite wall lamp can be matched with the rest of the collection modular Stemlite, creating an atmosphere that complements both modern and traditional interiors.
