Designed by Verner Panton, the Flowerpot VP4 takes up the principle of two half-spheres facing each other. The larger caps the second, which reflects light downwards and softens its intensity. Placed on a desk, a console or a bedside table, it diffuses directed light without direct glare.
The Dark Plum version dresses the steel in a deep plum shade, darker than the bright colours associated with the Flowerpot family. The lacquer plays with the curve of the two shells and catches the ambient light in a discreet reflection. The textile cord extends the care given to the object right to the plug.
The proportions remain compact, which allows several to be lined up on a long table or one to be slipped into a bookcase corner. Intended for indoor use, it works with a screw bulb left to individual choice.
