Side table - Normann Copenhagen

Taking the most elementary steel components as its starting point, MSDS Studio has created a small architectural side table. Their "Stock" design presents metal in a raw, deconstructed manner, while retaining a delicate, rigid quality. The unconventional arrangement of the table legs highlights the solidity of the material and produces an intriguing composition of elements. The aesthetic negative spaces – the open, airy space beneath the tabletop and the triangle between the angular legs – arise from the fact that the traditional arrangement of table legs has not been followed, creating a new form of symmetry. Stock appears as a small, austere sculpture that also serves as a practical, stable side table. Designed by MSDS Studio
