Our Calm Kelim rugs redefine traditional kelim craftsmanship by infusing it with modern colors and patterns. The rugs are made à la by hand and the 100% wool yarn is dyed à la by hand, making each rug unique.
Weaving is carried out on a "Punja" loom using a traditional, manual technique that is one of the plus oldest in the world. The yarns of kelim weaving have a unique, coarse feel that adds an extra tactile element to the carpet, characteristic of traditional kelim rugs.
