Gaston

Are you familiar with the Gaston wall-mounted desk by Hartô? The Cool Republic invites you to discover this retro-style piece that has earned itself must-have status.

The Gaston desk by Hartô now ranks among design's essential furniture pieces. Desk, wall-mounted storage and shelf all in one, Gaston is a wonderfully functional piece, offering endless possibilities whatever the setting.

The Gaston collection was designed by Florence Watine for Hartô, and its success has never waned since its creation, thanks to its timeless style, on-trend colour combinations and dimensions able to meet every requirement.

Clad entirely in wood, this wall-mounted desk reinterpreted by Hartô has a natural look with Scandinavian and vintage accents, enhanced by fine materials such as leather or a brass finish that heighten its chic character.

Whether you lean towards natural oak or walnut, this desk comes in both veneered MDF versions, paired with contemporary shades much sought after in interior design, such as petrol blue, slate grey and pastel pink.

As for dimensions, several variations in width, height and depth are available, to suit an even wider range of spaces. And while it certainly carries weight in terms of character, the Hartô desk tips the scales at a mere 20 kilos! No small detail, and one that raises a smile when it comes to delivery and installation!

Its integrated drawers, meanwhile, allow for faultless organisation in the office, bedroom or living room, thanks to one large drawer and two smaller ones with generous capacity. Not forgetting the little open niche, which lets you personalise the piece with your favourite decorative objects, so that pleasure goes hand in hand with practicality!

But the pièce de résistance is its fold-down flap, which transforms this wall-mounted piece into a genuine workspace in the blink of an eye, ideal at any hour for homework, for children and grown-ups alike!

Depending on the space available or your decorative whims, this wall-mounted piece can be considered for every room in the house, whether a small home office, a living room where it lends a hand to dining and coffee tables all too often buried under piles of paper, or a bedroom, where it can serve as a small decorative bookcase!
