Designed by Florence Watine for Hartô, the Gaston wall-mounted secretary desk fixes to the wall and frees the floor entirely. Its compact silhouette, barely wider than a seat, finds its place in a hallway, a corridor, a living room corner or a bedroom where no traditional desk could fit. The top accommodates a laptop, a notebook, a lamp, and the rest disappears behind the facade.
The wood-veneered MDF structure plays with deep-stained oak, brought to life by lacquered drawers in ashy green or a softer sage. This contrast of finishes gives the piece a graphic presence without making it loud. The interior storage organises small office supplies, mail, cables, so that the work surface remains clear once the day is done.
Gaston integrates equally well into a contemporary interior or a period flat, where it serves as an auxiliary workstation as much as a decorative console. Two drawer colours allow the piece to be adjusted to the room's palette, from the most muted to the most botanical.
