The Gaston wall-mounted secretary by Hartô, designed by Florence Watine, offers a compact workspace that fixes to the wall and completely frees up the floor. With a width of 60 cm and a contained depth, it finds its place in an entrance, a corridor, a living room corner or a bedroom, where a classic desk would be too cumbersome.
The MDF body with wood veneer adopts a natural oak with bold grain, contrasted by drawers in MDF lacquered in spicy coral and burgundy. This interplay of two warm hues brings the façade to life and transforms a functional piece of furniture into a graphic element on the wall. The drop-down flap reveals an interior storage space, whilst the drawers accommodate everyday small items.
Closed, Gaston regains the appearance of a simple, almost discreet volume. Open, it offers a writing surface sufficient for a laptop, a notebook and a lamp. An object designed for interiors where every square metre counts, without renouncing colour or design.
