The Mirage Dome by Fatboy rests on a simple idea: a mirror whose rounded, arched contour softens everything around it. The dome silhouette breaks with the usual rectangular formats and gives the wall a more supple breathing space. The rustic clay colour, earthy and matt, tempers the shine of the glass and establishes a calm presence.
Its frame is made of polyurethane foam, a material that allows clean edges while keeping a very contained mass. The mirror remains thin, barely detached from the wall, and is installed without superfluous volume effect. With a width of 60 centimetres and a height of just over 73 centimetres, it finds its place above a console, in a narrow entrance or above a bathroom unit.
It is an object that works alone, as punctuation on a bare wall, or in series to compose a rhythm of arches. Its clay hue pairs with light wood, linen and mineral renders, and is enough to warm up an interior with neutral tones.
