Transparent fruit basket Moon - Kartell

The cut Moon in its "smoked" version is a large translucent cut imagined by the designer Marco Bellini in 2010 for the Italian house Kartell. A reinterpretation of the superb Dune tray from the same brand, this fascinating cup with its lunar reflections is an eye-catcher and will be perfect as a fruit basket or serving dish.

Made from PMMA (transparent or tinted), a plastic material that is easy to process and will stand the test of time, this cup will be plus beautifully placed in the centre of the dining table or as a decorative object on a solid wood sideboard. The crystal version of the Moon bowl is worked from the inside and gives the illusion of being crossed by fluctuating lines that catch the light.

The cup Moon, with a diameter of 45 cm, welcomes seasonal fruits, dried flowers or even decorative objects with elegance. The transparent surface of this contemporary style piece is smooth on the inside and plus rough on the outside. It is today accompanied by great designers (Starck, Tokujin Yoshioka, Marco Zanuso…) that Kartell still exploits plus the potential of plastic, a material to which the brand has been able to infuse a design and very precious side.
