Smoke grey fruit bowl Moon - Kartell

The Moon bowl in its "smoked" version is a large translucent bowl designed by Marco Bellini in 2010 for the Italian house Kartell. A reinterpretation of the superb Dune tray by the same brand, this fascinating bowl with its moonlike sheen draws every eye and will be perfect as a fruit bowl or a serving dish.

Made from PMMA (transparent or coloured throughout), a plastic that is easy to work with and stands up to the passing of time, this bowl will look wonderful placed in the centre of the dining table or as a decorative object on a solid wood sideboard. The crystal version of the Moon bowl is worked from the inside and gives the illusion of being crossed by flowing lines that catch the light.

With a diameter of 45 cm, the Moon bowl elegantly holds seasonal fruit, dried flowers or even decorative objects. The transparent surface of this contemporary piece is smooth on the inside and rougher on the outside. Available in a range of colours, this original bowl by the Italian brand is both functional and beautiful. It finds a place in every room of our homes, adding a singular, moonlit touch.

Specialising in high-end plastic products, the Italian house Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli. Today, alongside great designers (Starck, Tokujin Yoshioka, Marco Zanuso and more), Kartell continues to explore the potential of plastic ever further, a material to which the brand has given a designer and highly precious feel.
