Pendant light in white aluminium PH5 Mini - Louis Poulsen

PH is quite simply the name given to this pendant light conceived by designer Poul Henningsen. This lighting is the fruit of the collaboration between the creator and the design house Louis Poulsen, which began in the mid-twenties and lasted until the end of his life in 1967. It was during this collaboration that a design was conceived which would become iconic and which, even today, remains a must-have: the logarithmic lampshade signed PH.

The concept rests on Poul Henningsen's imperative to create indirect, diffused light. He conceived several superimposed lampshades curved downwards, each one reducing the luminous flux passing through it, to create a complex play of shadows releasing soft, even ambient light. This is a unique design, one that propelled the collaboration to the forefront of the lighting world and gave rise to the production of nearly a thousand PH models over time.
