Designed by Iskos-Berlin for Muuto, the Under The Bell pendant light takes on the wide, low silhouette of a bell. Its moulded felt lampshade absorbs sound and softens the light, making it useful above a meeting table, a kitchen island or a dining area where acoustics matter as much as lighting.
The material forms the essence of its character: the lampshade is made from recycled plastic sourced from post-consumer waste, at 49%. The generous rubber cord allows for both high installation and lowering close to the worktop. The imposing diameter creates an enveloping halo, concentrated on the illuminated surface.
The Blue Grey shade gives the whole a matt and discreet appearance, easy to combine with light woods as well as darker finishes. Several aligned examples create a regular rhythm above a large table, without weighing down the volume of the room.
