The Peas rug by Hay is made from 100% pure virgin wool. The special feature of the design: the rug is composed of hundreds of handmade wool balls, which is how it got its name (peas).
The rug's characteristic texture is handmade: in India, the little beads are rolled by hand until they take on the round shape that makes the Hay Peas rug so special. The balls of wool are then attached with nylon thread to make the rug as durable as it is beautiful.
With its unique rug collection, Hay supports the Indian and Nepalese economy in a sustainable way by selecting only small local workshops and traditional processing methods for production.
