Simon Legald designed the Form Chair for Normann Copenhagen with the aim of creating a shell chair with a more unified look, one that would stand as a cohesive whole. To achieve this seamless, integrated appearance, a new and innovative solution was developed to bring the seat and legs together. The moulded plastic seat and the oak, walnut or steel frame are naturally integrated into the seat thanks to a unique cup system. The plastic seat and the wooden or steel legs meet elegantly, highlighting the fine craftsmanship of the design. The legs appear almost to grow out of the shell. This gives the design flexibility and allows the frame to be varied in many ways, making it suited to a wide range of interiors. Form chairs offer excellent back support and great freedom of movement. The robust materials and contoured shape ensure a comfortable seating experience.
