An internationally acclaimed designer and architect, Paola Navone travels the world on countless journeys in a constant quest for encounters and inspiration. She regularly works alongside both fellow architects and designers, her many talents spanning a wide range of fields such as object design, set design, interior schemes and furniture design. Her work with Serax was born directly of her insatiable curiosity: on discovering that, at the time of the American Great Depression in the 1930s, tableware pieces were created according to very precise economic criteria (very large quantities, lowest possible cost), she researched the subject and drew inspiration from it. And so the Fish & Fish service came into being, a contemporary reworking, full of freshness and poetry, of the legendary original service. This sturdy, stackable tableware is, just as it was back then, made from green pressed glass, known as Jadeite.
