The Danish design house HAY invites us into its world steeped in purely Scandinavian minimalism. With an army of award-winning international designers, HAY introduces us to pieces that are sometimes understated and sometimes exuberant, always maintaining a guiding principle: that of elegance. A true producer of best-sellers and pieces that almost reach iconic status, HAY has established itself as a reliable name in the design world.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Breton design brothers based in Paris, have been working together since 1998. Ronan graduated from the École supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École nationale supérieure des Arts in Cergy before creating his own studio. Together, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have transformed the design industry and offered new perspectives on materiality and purpose.

With the Élémentaire collection, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec set out to create a chair that is both aesthetically and physically balanced. Combining years of work and experience, Élémentaire uses the latest technologies to create a chair robust enough to be a durable object whilst remaining delicate. Precise proportions and a clean profile give the Élémentaire design chair a charm that allows it to stand out. Designed for everyday life, Élémentaire meets basic needs in a balance between beauty and strength.
