The Amelia decorative tray from Broste Copenhagen comes down to a disc of brown marble, barely hollowed out, placed on a surface like an object in its own right. Its round shape and low height make it a discreet support, which reads first as a material before reading as a container.
The marble brings its own veining and nuances: each piece presents a design that belongs to it, with natural variations in tone within the brown. The density of the stone is felt both to the touch and when moved, and gives the tray a stable base on the surface that receives it.
It finds its place on a coffee table, an entrance console or a dressing table, to gather jewellery, keys or a candle. Alone or combined with other pieces from the Amelia family, it structures a corner of the room without cluttering it.
