The Harper wall light draws on the language of dressing-table lighting: a brass frame holding two globes of glossy opal glass. The light passes through the material and diffuses without glare, which makes it particularly well suited to a mirror, where even illumination on the face is what you're after.
Its slender silhouette can be mounted vertically on either side of a mirror, or horizontally above it. The shallow projection of the arm keeps it close to the wall, an advantage in narrow bathrooms where every centimetre counts. The brass brings a subtle warmth that works just as well with pale earthenware as with dark tiling.
Designed for indoor use, it is equally at home in a hallway, an entrance or on either side of a headboard, wherever soft, symmetrical light is called for.
