Modular 2-seater sofa in steel steelcut trio Ark - Normann Copenhagen

Gentle arches, plump cushions and an airy base are the defining traits of the new Ark modular sofa by Normann Copenhagen. The design plays with curves and volumes, giving Ark its recognisable characteristics for an expression that is both minimalist and full of depth.

Ark almost appears to be a sofa built solely from cushions, hinting at its soft, welcoming expression. The design seems to be divided into small cushioned sections. The seat, the back and the armrests all look like separate cushions, carefully arranged. This unique composition contributes to Ark's warm expression, while the simplicity of the design radiates sophistication and elegance.

A recurring element of the design, Ark takes its name from the Danish word for arches. The subtle sweep of the cushions creates a distinct visual softness that gestures towards an equally soft seating comfort. A slight gap between the seat and the floor lends the design an airy character, while also offering a practical advantage, allowing easy access for cleaning beneath the sofa.
