Danish designer Hans Hornemann drew inspiration from his own life in Copenhagen for créer the Ace series. The series is aimed at city dwellers who value quality and aesthetics, but who must also adapt to the limited space of city life. With its organic, user-friendly lines, Ace offers maximum comfort in a condensed form. In designing Ace, Hans Hornemann worked on the base components of a chair - back, seat and legs - and created a functional and aesthetic design with a stature plus smaller than traditional living-room furniture. The design balance finely balances refinement and casualness. The rounded contours emphasize the welcoming volume of the full upholstery and are elegantly framed by the piping around the seat and back. A backrest sloping backwards and boldly angled legs add caractère and attitude, resulting in a design of nonchalant, intemporelle elegance.
