The Kiosk mugs by Hübsch play with transparency. The borosilicate glass reveals the drink, its colour, its movement, whilst a swirling green motif runs across the wall and gives relief to a simple shape. Sold in pairs, they are used as much at breakfast as at tea time at the end of the day.
The handle remains wide enough for a firm grip, and the contained height keeps the mug stable on a tray as on a coffee table. The borosilicate glass withstands temperature variations, which allows hot drinks without special precautions.
Placed on an open shelf, these mugs work as small decorative objects, the green of the swirl responding to plain crockery or terracotta pieces. The Kiosk family brings together several everyday objects conceived in this spirit, where function precedes effect.
