This vase signed by Hübsch plays on the transparency of glass and on the meeting of two colours, a green and a red that overlap according to the light. The volume, wide at the base and slender towards the top, gives the blown glass an immediate presence without resorting to any applied decoration.
The soda-lime glass retains a beautiful clarity and lets the stems immersed inside be seen, which also become an element of the design. The variations in hue read differently depending on the angle of observation and the time of day, which makes the object lively even when it remains empty.
Its generous proportions suit ample bouquets as well as a few isolated branches. Placed on a console, a coffee table or a mantelpiece, it alone is enough to bring a note of colour to a sober interior.
