Hallway and Entryway Ceiling Lights

Nearly 300 compact ceiling lights for the entryway and hallway, under 50 cm in diameter, in metal, ceramic or glass, by Sollux, Ferroluce, Panzeri, Good & Mojo or Artemide.

The entryway and hallway are often short of natural light and height. A compact ceiling light illuminates the whole passage without hanging down into the space or getting in the way of the doors.

What size and how many ceiling lights?

In an entryway, a ceiling light of 30 to 49 cm is usually enough. In a hallway, line up several small ceiling lights under 30 cm, one every 1.50 to 2 m, for even light from one end to the other.

Materials and direction

White or black metal blends into the ceiling, ceramic and glass give a soft light, rattan warms up an entryway. A few adjustable designs direct the beam towards a picture, a mirror or a coat cupboard.

Frequently asked questions

How many ceiling lights in a hallway?

Allow one light point every 1.50 to 2 m. A 4 m hallway therefore needs two ceiling lights, a 6 m hallway three.

Which ceiling light for an entryway with a low ceiling?

A flat, slim design fitted flush to the ceiling. It lights widely without reducing the available height, which matters in a passage.

Do you need a motion sensor in an entryway?

It is practical when you come home with your arms full. The sensor is fitted at the switch or on the circuit and works with most ceiling lights; check the bulb's compatibility with your electrician.
