Beige String Furniture modular shelving units

The beige String furniture modular shelving units bring together 37 references designed for those looking for a wall-mounted storage system that is both structured and discreet. Created in Sweden back in 1949, the String System is built around an assembly principle of side panels and shelves, allowing you to arrange shelves, cabinets and back panels to suit the needs of each space. The beige finish brings a warm neutrality that slots easily into a contemporary or Scandinavian interior without dominating the room.

String furniture is one of the most recognisable names in Swedish design, thanks to a modular system conceived from the outset by Nisse Strinning. The String System, the brand's flagship product, offers its components in countless configurations: compact small formats such as the String Pocket, tall floor-to-ceiling combinations, and versions with an integrated desk. The beige shade belongs to a soft palette that sits naturally alongside light wood, white and natural materials. For anyone keen to explore other finishes, the String furniture Shelving section also features black and white versions, while the White String furniture shelving units offer a bright alternative that proves hugely popular. Lastly, the modularity of the system means it can evolve over time: start with a few shelves, then add cabinets or drawers as your needs change.

These shelving units work just as well in a living room as in an office or bedroom. The beige finish pairs beautifully with oak or rattan furniture, or with matt brass accessories, for a cohesive interior that never feels cluttered. To complete a workspace, the String furniture Desks connect directly to the modular shelving in the range. And to discover every piece available in this world, the Modular shelving section offers an overview of comparable systems available at The Cool Republic.
