Artemide Pendant Lights

Artemide pendant lights have become benchmarks in contemporary design lighting, combining formal rigour with technical mastery of light. Founded in Milan in 1960, the Italian brand built its reputation on an approach its founders describe as "human light", conceived to accompany living spaces with precision and sensitivity. With 21 models available at The Cool Republic, this selection spans a broad spectrum of aesthetics, from pared-back geometric forms to more sculptural, organic volumes. The story of Artemide lighting is inseparable from its collaborations with renowned designers who have shaped the brand's visual vocabulary. Ernesto Gismondi, Michele De Lucchi and Herzog & de Meuron have all contributed to collections that span the decades without ever ageing. Among the most instantly recognisable models, the Pirce stands out for its blown-glass spiral, suspended like a sculpture above a table or reception area. The Talo, meanwhile, offers a linear geometry designed to diffuse soft, even light across large surfaces. Finishes vary from one model to the next — matt white, black, brushed metal — allowing them to sit comfortably in very different interiors. To compare with other high-end propositions, take a look at the &tradition metal pendant lights or the Schneid Studio pendant lights, two alternatives with plenty of character. You can also browse the brand's entire universe in our All Artemide products catalogue.

Artemide pendant lights are for those who see lighting as a fully fledged element of interior architecture rather than a simple functional accessory. They are particularly well suited to open-plan living rooms, dining rooms and carefully considered workspaces, where the quality of light directly shapes the atmosphere. These models sit beautifully in minimalist, Scandinavian or softly brutalist interiors, where the rigour of the lines is given pride of place. To mix styles within a single space, the HAY pendant lights offer an accessible and coherent complement.
