Specialising in high-end plastic products, the Italian house Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli. Today, working alongside great designers (Starck, Tokujin Yoshioka, Marco Zanuso and more), Kartell continues to explore the potential of plastic ever further, a material into which the brand has breathed a designer and highly precious feel.
This lovely storage box with a conical lid is made from PMMA (transparent or solid-dyed), an easy-to-work plastic that will stand the test of time. This material makes it a very light object and therefore easy to carry. Perfect for storing your small everyday items, it will find its place in an entrance hall, a living room or even a bedroom.
Its designer, Fabio Novembre, drew inspiration from the architecture of the houses in his native region, Puglia, and in particular from the town of Alberobello, to produce this storage box. The Cool Republic offers it in four colours, whose combination or repetition is also part of this collection's charm.
