The Amor plate by Broste Copenhagen accompanies desserts as well as light meals. Its intermediate format slips easily between the bread plate and the dinner plate, for a table setting that remains simple to compose.
It is shaped from stoneware covered with a reactive glossy glaze. This firing technique varies the nuances and intensities from one piece to another, so that no two plates ever look quite alike. The cream and red finish plays on this contrast, with edges where the colour concentrates and dilutes according to the glaze's reactions.
The Amor line lends itself to tables set without rigour, where pieces mix and respond to one another. Its low profile and contained diameter allow it to stack easily in a cupboard or to be presented in a stack on a trolley.
