Satellite black wall lamp - Gubi

The stunning, bold and playful Satellite wall lamp, designed by Mathieu Matégot, is available again after a wait of nearly seventy years. With its geometric shapes and finely balanced arms creating an exceptional sculptural aesthetic, the Satellite name and concept was a tribute from Matégot to the scientific progress and optimism of post-war France. The Satellite sconce is compose of two shades made of Rigitulle - the Matégot technique of bending and curving perforated steel into an oblong-shaped original shade - that are mounted on sculptural metal arms. The result is a unique play of transparency, weightlessness and balance, with a play of ombre and light à la both atmospheric and festive. The Satellite wall lamp's Rigitulle shades are available in creamy white, soft black semi -mat or a combination of both, and are mounted on soft black semi -mat arms and bracket. Despite its name, it can also be mounted to the ceiling to créer a stunning centerpiece.
