In collaboration with contemporary artist Emilia Ilke, Layered today launches the Picnic wool rug. Inspired by ceramics, photography and mode, Emilia embraces the everyday objects of Les maisons and gives them a new place for the observer to interpret. The playful design highlights the caractère of each form and creates the feeling that nothing is too insignificant to be noticed. The Picnic rug is handmade à la from 100% soft, long-pile wool. The palette colors are light, with beige base and dusty pastels.
Because of their long pile and natural material, shag rugs tend to shed. With regular vacuuming, pile loss diminishes over time, but never disappears completely.
